How it Works

Initial Consultation

The first session lasts around 60–75 minutes. It’s a gentle starting point where we take time to explore what’s been going on for you, what you’d like support with, and what you hope to gain from therapy.

I’ll also explain how I work and, where helpful, share a little about how the brain responds to things like stress, anxiety, sleep difficulties, or other challenges — always at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

Most importantly, the first session is a space for you to get a feel for how it is to work together, and to decide whether it feels like the right fit for you.

Sessions

Following the initial consultation, sessions are 60 minutes each.

Most people begin with weekly sessions, but the pace is entirely flexible — fortnightly or even monthly appointments are also welcome.

The number of sessions is guided by you and your goals. Many clients work with me for around 12 sessions, but this can be more or less — we’ll review progress together as we go, so you’re always in control of the pace and length of your therapy.

The Next Steps

Starting therapy can be daunting and that’s completely normal. The first session is a safe, no-pressure way to explore how therapy could work for you. You can get in touch to ask any questions or check availability — and we’ll go at a pace that feels right for you.

Cancellations

We kindly ask for at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a session.
Cancellations between 24 and 48 hours will be charged at half the session fee, and cancellations within 24 hours will incur the full fee.
For block bookings, the same policy applies, and refunds are not available.
